Mary King began her legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Ronald Lee Reisner, J.S.C., in the Family Division of the Monmouth County Superior Court. Her clerkship provided her with invaluable insight into judicial decision-making and the workings of the New Jersey court system—experience that continues to inform her approach to litigation and client representation. Following her clerkship, Mary practiced at Schibell & Mennie, where she represented clients in both workers’ compensation and matrimonial matters. This early experience provided her with a strong foundation in litigation and courtroom advocacy, while also giving her a firsthand understanding of the personal and financial impact that legal disputes can have on individuals and families.
With more than 20 years of experience practicing law, Mary has built a practice centered on representing individuals who have been injured or whose lives have been significantly affected by an accident or workplace injury. Her experience, combined with her understanding of the litigation process from both the courtroom and client perspective, allows her to approach each case with careful preparation, practical judgment, and determination.
Mary’s practice focuses on workers’ compensation and personal injury law, representing injured individuals throughout New Jersey.
In her workers’ compensation practice, Mary assists employees who have suffered workplace injuries or occupational conditions in pursuing the medical treatment and benefits to which they may be entitled. She handles claims involving medical treatment, temporary disability benefits, permanency, disputed injuries, and other issues that may arise during the workers’ compensation process.
In her personal injury practice, Mary represents individuals and families who have suffered injuries as a result of motor vehicle accidents, premises liability incidents, and other forms of negligence. She works to thoroughly investigate each claim, document the nature and extent of her client’s injuries, and pursue fair compensation for the physical, emotional, and financial consequences of those injuries.
Whether representing an injured worker or someone injured because of another party’s negligence, Mary understands that every case represents a person whose life has been disrupted. She takes a personalized approach to each matter, working closely with her clients to understand their circumstances and develop a strategy designed to protect their interests.
